Larry Louise Foster
Larry Louise (LL) Foster is a book artist and craftsperson known for her innovative design and creation of books, drawings, and paste papers. She has studied paste-paper traditions, replicating many historical patterns, while focusing on creating new designs with rich colors and textures. Foster has taught workshops at Asheville Bookworks, The Center for Book Arts (New York, NY), and Jacksonville State University (Jacksonville, AL), and has taught bookbinding at Pensacola State College. Foster holds a BFA from Auburn University in Art/Painting, MFA from George Washington University in Art/Design, and an MFA from The University of Alabama in Book Arts/Bookbinding. Her research was recently published in a limited edition book from SpeakEasy Press entitled The Paste Papers of Larry Lou Foster.
